"Three words. Growing Comfort Zones. My biggest takeaway from YLC: Leaders lead from the back. Hep B, a globally overlooked yet profound issue must be tackled through effective combating strategies, posing a united front. I wish to encourage my peers to strive hard for what they believe in- be it fighting disease or disappointment. But perhaps the most interesting thing was the natural connecting vibe - a shared enthusiasm sans boundaries. And yeah, everybody has a great sense of humor!"

"YLC was a fun, engaging program that taught me about Hepatitis B, and how it disproportionately affects members of my community. I learned a lot about the disease, as well as how to advocate for it. I had a lot of fun with my team leaders and fellow team members. Through the process of making a campaign, I learned a lot about youth advocacy. I will continue to educate myself and others about Hep B and liver cancer. "

"I would say my biggest takeaway from this conference was the ability to be adaptable! Being thrown into a team with people I’ve never met before and assigned with the task of creating a campaign in three days truly tested my interpersonal skills and work ethic. In the end, it resulted in a bomb presentation (at least I like to think so😎) and connections to some pretty amazing people!"
